I attended the bStreetsmart event today along with my school, MET Oatlands.

I just wanted to say thank you for the awesome job you did. The day was excellent. Crash scene was very realistic and survivors stories very stirring.

Thanks for organising this great event! It was a job very well done.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Thank you for having us attend the BSTREET SMART program today. I can't put into words how powerful all the demonstrations and speakers were.

This is so well put together and I am so pleased 100 of our students were able to attend.

Thank you so much!

Excellent! and so important.

Thank you for organising such a wonderful and powerful event.

Connected Classrooms - bstreetsmart online

Welcome to bstreetsmart online which is part of the bstreetsmart road safety program. bstreetsmart online is targeted to students in years 10-12. bstreetsmart online is proudly sponsored by Woolworth Caltex Petrol.

bstreetsmart online is a series of video sessions focused on specific aspects of road safety. The sessions support the road safety content in the PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) curriculum. Sessions are designed for teachers to view on-line with their PDHPE class and link the video excursion to relevant content in the PDHPE curriculum.

Each  session is self contained but all have the underlying theme that young people have a responsibility for making decisions as drivers, riders, passengers or pedestrians.

Information is provided on how to reduce risk taking behaviour through greater awareness of the  consequences of distracted driving, speeding, drink and drug driving and driver fatigue. There is also information on the safety features of vehicles and how these are tested.

The 2017 event will be webcast on Thursday 17th August 2017

The bstreetsmart  Road Trauma Forum will be webcast LIVE on Thursday 17th August 2017 from 10 am. Schools can log in from 0930.

The webcast will be available on our website  and viewers should log onto the webcast page at least a day prior to the event to ensure their player works properly. The webcast will commence at 9.30am on the day to ensure viewers can access the live stream.
